Chamomile has a quiet dignity and strength that impresses on everyone who meets her. Even when faced with the challenge of raising her own litter on the streets while struggling with a lack of food, she did not hesitate to adopt another kitten who came to her for assistance.

If you have been following the story of Chamomile and her kids, you know that she had a cloudy eye due to untreated infections prior to her being found. Dr. Lewis, our intrepid vet, thought she might be able to help Chamomile feel more comfortable and get more sight out of that eye. After a successful surgery Chamomile's eye is fixed. It will never be perfect but she now has vision & definitely feels better.

The volunteer who picked Chamomile up from her surgery at Riverside Cat Hospital  said she couldn't decide whether her eyes were watering from the description of the procedure or from learning that the incredibly generous and compassionate Dr. Lewis donated the surgery! We just could not love her more!! She also finally let us get her in a picture with our good friend and Riverside staffer, Hallie. Thank you to Riverside Cat Hospital for helping this beautiful mom cat!

Her sweetness is a balm to anyone's spirit.
