Hello there!

My name is Shane.  Let me tell you a little bit about myself so that you can see if we would be a good match!  One day a volunteer was on Facebook and she saw someone looking for help with 10 kittens that were born in her barn!  I was one of those kittens.  The volunteer wrote her friend and they drove out to pick us all up.  When they got there, there were only 7 of us left.  Someone took me and two of my siblings.  Well, then another volunteer saw that I was being sold on Craigslist!  Luckily the lady decided to give me back so I went to another foster through The Kitten Nursery because I am much older than the other kittens that were in the barn with me.  Woo, that's a long story and it was even crazier to live it, but I am so glad that I am safe now.

I love my foster home, I get to play with some adult cats and another kitten named Stallone.  He will be up for adoption soon as well!  I think that I would be fine with gentle dogs, though I haven't met any at this time.   I am really good with kids, I love my foster brother, he plays and cuddles me every day.

My foster mom says that I am a purring machine.  The only time that I am not purring is when I am fast asleep!  I hear that purring helps calm people so that's why I do it, I want my humans to feel relaxed with me!  I LOVE to play.  I would really love nothing more than to go to a  home with my foster brother Stallone or another kitten or cat.  I am just really playful and love other kitties. 

Because I was born out in a barn, I am a standoffish sometimes, but Stallone says that humans are awesome to cuddle with so I'm trying my best to be brave. 

I am fully litter box trained, yes, I am super smart!  I also use my scratching posts but I will need lots of those in my new home to help continue my training.

So what do you think?  Do you want to come and meet me?  Please consider contacting the rescue to set up a time to meet me in my foster home.  I may be at the adoption events at Soldan's  in Okemos from 12-3pm on Sundays, but please contact the rescue before heading out there to confirm that I will actually be there.
